Email Marketing
If I mentioned the concept of email marketing to my grandfather, it would be as good as Greek to him. Similarly if I were a marketing agency and I proposed a marketing strategy for an e-commerce client that consists of cold calling, door to door sales, and spot campaigning instead of email marketing, they would not think twice before turning their back to me. The simple logic ruling this behaviour for todays marketing strategies being dominated by email marketing is cost cutting and effective. With email marketing we can say good riddance of the age-old complaints of invasion of privacy and harassment by sales representatives. If it is done right email marketing is welcome by both customers and providers alike with equal enthusiasm and anticipation. It was not long ago when marketing was actually being typecast as suitable only for big budget companies to enhance sales and promotion of their product. It included branding, advertising, promotions and surveys for analysis.
This approach contained a lot of components with each contributing to the final hefty costs. Small companies had to actually just rely on goodwill created over the period of time and customer loyalty for its sales, as they could not afford to invest so much in their marketing campaigns for their products. There was a scarcity for cost effective and result oriented marketing strategies to suit one and all. With the advent of Internet and email marketing, big and small companies alike can look forward to the marketing plans for their product. Given the tremendous success of email marketing with most every e-commerce site, there is no reason why it wouldn’t do the same for your business.
Email marketing is generally a raging success for the marketing campaign of any product, if and only if, it is subject to constant creativeness. This consists of the constant monitoring and tracking results of particular campaigns and measuring their rate of success based on your desired results. Areas where the campaign has failed to be at par with projected achievements should be worked on and modified and tested before re-implementing.
Sending an email to your customers describing a new product is far more cost effective than a visit or a phone call. The difference in cost is astounding, and a big advantage for this innovative genius of a marketing plan. Thus in the years to come email marketing will pave the way as the heart and soul of the marketing and promotion of any product.
